Invite us for your Service Project
Local to NW Indiana Service Project Opportunities
If your church group, company, small group or organization is looking for a creative & unique way to bless a community that 1 in 4 families find themselves in — we would love to come to you!
Our service projects are catered to ages young & old, sharing the message & mission of Something to Hold in an appropriate way that is curated specifically for the groups that invite us to share. Typically 2 hours in length.
This is what a service project with Something to Hold looks like —
1.
Story & Instructions
A STH representative will share how got started, the stage we are in now, where it is going & how you can be involved. Slideshow optional. Followed by grouping up & giving instructions
2.
Gather, Cut & Tie with your Community
Take time to cut & tie the blankets together, joining in community to share stories & provide comfort to families with empty arms.
3.
Wrap & Pray Over the Blankets
We like to take the time to pray for the families these blankets will be going to — sending anyone home with one that is in need.
4.
Small Groups & Discussions
Getting into small groups to go over discussion questions or fill out a card for a loved one who walked through loss is a tender way to end the day.
Investment & Contribution
Abigail from Something to Hold will bring this Service Project to you! This relieves you from gathering the necessary supplies to make these blankets along with having a meaningful storytelling time with a blanket making instructional.
This is roughly a 20-30 minute speech.
We will bring all needed supplies (scissors, cut guides & marketing materials), be available for questions, work alongside your group & be able to take the blankets after the event is complete or organize a drop off/pick up agreement!
We will purchase & bring the fabric with us that day based on the amount of blankets you decide to make (guidance based on group size and time is provided). The cost of the blankets is $15 per blanket and any donation made towards that is deeply appreciated.
Checks are made out to Something to Hold and we have online giving available, as well. Donations are tax deductible.
How many blankets will you need? Our formula: 2 blankets per group of 4 to 6 people allows for small group discussion afterwards.
