Sweet Thanks from the Bake Sale 2025: Your Support in Action

On June 5, our community showed up in the most beautiful way — through sugar, smiles, and service.

Our THIRD Something Sweet Bake Sale was a success, not just in the dollars raised but in the heart behind every cookie sold and every conversation shared. Hosted by some of our incredible volunteers, this event helped fund – our debut Held & Heard support gathering that will take place on July 14. You can find more information for these events here

Additionally, we are in the process of adding “infertility” to those we support. These are families with empty arms as well and walking through this ourselves, we know the heaviness & loneliness of it. “Blankets for Empty Arms” for infertility & loss mamas. We will continue to primarily serve the loss community, but as we grow our prayer is to extend further support to both of these common groups. 1 in 4 couples experience a miscarriage, 1 in 6 will walk through infertility. Together we will continue to serve, pray and see these families in need of hope and healing.

We are incredibly grateful to Midwest Insurance Center for generously sponsoring our bake sale and supporting our mission to bring comfort to grieving families. Their partnership made this event possible, and their heart for our community shines through in every detail. Thank you, Midwest Insurance Center, for helping us provide blankets — and hope — to those walking through deep loss. Both professionally and personally, we use Midwest Insurance Center and truly could not recommend them enough. Below is their information:

We’re also so thankful for Wandering Wildflower for opening up their space, to our talented local bakers — Miss Mary’s Macs, Rhageybakes, and Rachel’s Sweet Bakes — for donating their time, creativity, and delicious treats to make this event so special, and to the talented bakers who filled tables with homemade love – Alexis V, Amanda W, Brenda S, Carley H, Cassidy S, Joya S, Justine V, Karla W, Megan D. Danielle and Mallory were also behind the planning of this sweet event!

And to each one of you who purchased a treat or simply stopped by to say hello – a full heart THANK YOU. Please know how deeply every bit of support is appreciated.

Together, you raised $1,730 — which translates into real blankets, real healing, and real hope.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Until next year, the bake sale team & board of directors
